A quick update from my kitchen | BakedLean

Hi friends!

Writing has never been my strong suit, and it’s always been something I avoided, but I’m going to try my best to get these newsletters going on a more regular basis — ideally once a week. I think this can be a great way for us to get to know each other a little better, and for you to peek inside my head at what I’m working on and what’s new around BakedLean.

Over the last week, I spent most of my time working on some of my great-grandma’s cookie recipes for a cookbook I’m putting together. She literally had hundreds of holiday cookie recipes, and I’m working on recreating 50–100 of them for a family cookbook and hopefully publishing it so everyone else can enjoy it too.

A couple of the highlights from this week were the almond brittle (recipe) and the potato chip cookies (recipe)!

New BakedLean Membership

I’ve also been working on a membership option for people who want a cleaner experience on the site. A lot of people ask me if I have a cookbook, and while I’d love to someday, I’m not there yet. So instead, I rolled out a $4.99/month membership where you can browse the site completely ad-free, while also helping support BakedLean directly. I’ll also be adding more exclusive content over time as the community grows.

If you love what I do and want a better experience on the site, I’d really appreciate your consideration.

I’ve got a lot more coming soon and hope to get more recipes on the website this week that AREN'T holiday cookies. Although, those are delicious too.

Until next time...
